The FAITH Winter Session attracts scores of young Catholics from all over Britain and offers a unique blend of catechetical, spiritual and social activities in a relaxed holiday atmosphere. Each year it follows a central theme which is developed over the three days by a series of lectures and discussions.
This year's theme is: Why The Church? "The fullness of Him who fills all in all" - Ephesians 1:23
Our talks include:
TALK 1: “The Church: Foreshadowed from the Beginning"
- “I came that they may have life” John 10:10
TALK 2: “The Church: Founded by Christ and Our Living Link with Him”
- “On this rock I will build my Church” Matthew 16:18
TALK 3: “The Church: Infallible Voice of Christ”
- “He who listens to you listens to me” Luke 10:16
TALK 4: “The Church: strengthened, fed and nourished by Christ”
- “Do this in memory of me” Luke 22:19
Although the Winter Session is not a retreat, one of the keys to the spirit it creates comes from our joining in common prayer and sharing in the Sacraments. Each day there will be morning and night prayer and daily Holy Mass. A Reconciliation Service with Exposition, Benediction and the chance for individual Confession will take place during the conference. During the session, there will also be some free time with various afternoon activities being laid on for those who are interested. Then, with the bar open in the evenings, there will be an excellent chance to relax, meet new people and, if you have the energy, chat into the small hours.
