A Brief Report on Last Year's event:

The Faith Youth Day was held at the John Fisher School, Purley on 25th May. A good number of young people between the ages of 11 and 15 attended from Willesden Green, Redhill and Reigate along with some pupils of the John Fisher School.

Fr Hugh Mackenzie, Fr James Clarke and Fr Stephen Dingley also attended - all under the watchful eye of Dan Cooper, who organised the day. Fr Stephen delivered the talk “God exists: Don’t worry, enjoy your life” showing that there is good evidence for the existence of God from both science and the directional evolutionary development of the universe which points to a designing Mind. The talk was followed by pizza and chips, which Dan had laid on in the school refectory.

We then divided into two groups to discuss the talk and afterwards reassembled for a round of final questions for Fr Stephen. To burn off energy we had some activities on the school field before going into the school chapel for confessions. The day ended with Mass concelebrated by our three excellent priests. Some feedback afterwards revealed that in one van on the journey home the children discussed the talk given by Fr Stephen Dingley - the day had obviously been a real success!
